Scope
This Learning Community is intended for municipal governments and related agencies. Our focus is on helping each other learn how to implement, nurture, and improve the practice of Policy Governance in the municipal sector. The challenges and opportunities created by elections, public demands, public funds, Politics, and regulatory powers require a special forum.
This group welcomes all forms of local government bodies: municipal governments (city, village, county, township, etc), special-purpose authorities (utilities, transportation, parks, social service, etc), arms-length institutions (housing, libraries, hospitals, etc) and multi-jurisdictional regional bodies like councils of governments.
Rules
1. Please participate!
2. All are welcome including public sector staff, elected and appointed officials.
3. Let’s keep it respectful, professional, and classy. Obviously, no personal attacks, harassment, etc.
4. No spamming. Consultants are welcome but, please, no general solicitations.
5. Feel free to create new threads but look through existing ones first. A question may have already been addressed.
