This section is intended for sharing and discussing practices regarding Monitoring Reports, CEO Interpretations and Evidence, as well as Board techniques for judging reports and the "any reasonable interpretation" concept.

Unlike the boilerplate policy template, there are no standardized interpretations with which to start, creating a barrier to entry. Please post or link to your examples!

The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (AAATA) has been using Policy Governance since 2017. We found developing good interpretations and evidence to be unexpectedly difficult. All our monitoring reports, with interpretations and evidence, are available on-line here https://www.theride.org/about/performance. Feel free to borrow.

Does anyone have any ideas for how a council/board can monitoring itself under policies for Governance Process and Board-Management Delegation? How frequently? Methodology (survey, talk it through, break it apart, etc)? Our board finds filling out a survey individually takes a long time (3.0). We've tried breaking it apart but the responses become fragemented and responders can't remember what they wrote earlier.
